olympic national park elopement photographer

Epic photos. Local expertise. An adventure that feels completely like you.

Plan a stress-free elopement in one of the wildest places in Washington with an experienced local photographer who knows Olympic National Park inside and out and is always up for an adventure.

If you're dreaming of a wedding day rooted in nature, adventure, and a little bit of wonder…

You're in the right place. I help couples create unforgettable elopements in Olympic National Park and throughout Washington - from easy walks to incredible views to hiking boots, backpacks, and full-on backcountry adventures.

You don't need to know exactly where to go, how to pull it off, or even how adventurous you want to get yet. That's where I come in.

I'll bring the local knowledge, planning experience, backup plans, and plenty of enthusiasm. You bring the two of you.

Together, we'll create a wedding day that feels exciting, relaxed, and completely your own.

Your wedding day can be an adventure.

And the best part? You get to decide what adventure means to you!

Maybe it's waking up beside Lake Crescent, exchanging vows with your closest people, hiking to a waterfall afterward, and heading into the mountains for sunset.

Maybe it's just the two of you, backpacks on, spending the day somewhere wild.

Or maybe it's good food, your favorite people, a beautiful view, and absolutely no hiking required.

There is no adventure requirement here. Your elopement doesn't need to be the hardest hike you've ever done to be meaningful, and it doesn't need to look like anyone else's.

But if your dream does involve a long trail, an alpine start, snow, backpacks, or a little Type II fun?

I'm 100% in!

Why Olympic National Park is so special

Rainforests. Waterfalls. Glacial lakes. Rugged coastline. Snow-covered mountains.

One of my favorite things about Olympic National Park is just how much you can experience here! In a single elopement day, you can wander through a moss-covered forest, stand beside a turquoise lake, and finish the evening watching the last light disappear behind the Olympic Mountains.

And this isn't just where I work. It's home. I've spent years hiking, trail running, camping, climbing, swimming, surfing, photographing, and exploring the Olympic Peninsula. I know how dramatically these places change with the seasons, where crowds tend to gather, which trails are worth the effort, and what Plan B (or C) might look like when the mountains decide not to cooperate.

That local experience means we can build a day around more than a list of pretty locations. We can choose places that actually make sense for your group, your comfort level, the season, and the kind of experience you want to have.

Real Elopements in Wild Places

No two elopements should look exactly alike! Some include family, champagne, and an easy walk to an incredible view. Others involve hiking boots, backpacks, and an entire day outside. And plenty fall somewhere wonderfully in between.

Take a look through a few real wedding days and start imagining what's possible for yours.

Hey there, I'm Amy

your elopement photographer + local adventure expert

I'm a photographer, artist, mom, Olympic Peninsula local, hiker, climber, surfer, snowboarder - and someone who is probably going to be just as excited about your adventure as you are!

I've spent more than 16 years photographing couples and years exploring the mountains, forests, lakes, and coastline of Olympic National Park. This isn't just a beautiful backdrop I show up to photograph. These are the places where I spend my own free time.

I'm Wilderness First Aid trained, have avalanche rescue training, and I'm comfortable getting outside in the places and conditions that make some of the most incredible adventures possible.

Translation: if your dream elopement involves hiking boots, backpacks, snow, an alpine start, or heading a little farther down the trail, you don't have to worry about whether your photographer can keep up.

But being adventurous doesn't mean your wedding day needs to feel hard.

I'll help you choose locations, navigate permits, build a timeline, prepare for weather, include your favorite people if you'd like, and turn all those ideas floating around in your head into a day that actually works.

By the time your elopement arrives, I want you to feel like there's nothing left to do except show up, marry your person, and have an incredible day.

"Amy was an absolute delight to work with and her photography blew us away." - Ben & Sarah

HERE'S HOW IT WORKS:

You don't need a date, location, or perfectly formed plan. Tell me what you're excited about. Mountains? Waterfalls? A day with your family? A huge hike? Absolutely no huge hikes? We'll start there.

01. Get in touch

02. We build your adventure

This is where the ideas start becoming an actual plan. I'll help you choose locations, navigate permits and logistics, think through weather and accessibility, build a timeline that doesn't feel rushed, and figure out how much—or how little—adventure feels right. You'll head into your wedding day knowing there's a plan, a backup plan, and someone who knows the area in your corner.

03. You have an incredible wedding day!

When your elopement arrives, I'm there for much more than the photographs. I'll keep an eye on the timeline, help navigate whatever the weather throws at us, guide you when you need it, give you space when you don't, and probably get way too excited when the light gets really good. You get to focus on each other, I'll take care of telling the story.

Her presence was calming, kind and attentive. We loved her sense of adventure and that she enthusiastically lead us down snowy trails in 12 degree weather which resulted in stunning photos. The best part is that we can't stop looking at our photos - they're just amazing.

"BEST WEDDING DECISION WE MADE. PERIOD."
